8th Mexican and Centro America Independence Festival

The Festival will take place on Saturday, September 15, at the Warner Park, Madison, Wisconsin from 12pm to 9pm.

Madison, WI, September 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- This year is the 8th edition of this festival organized by nonprofit 501c3 COFEMEX, INC.

The event is organized 100% by volunteers, all profits will go to scholarships to Latino students in the Dane County area. This year $2500+ will be granted to local students during the festival.

The Festival will take place on Saturday, September 15, at the Warner Park, Madison, Wisconsin from 12pm to 9pm.

The 8th Mexican and Centro America Festival is committed to promote Mexican and Latin American heritage; this year for first time in its history will feature an outdoors bilingual exhibition on Jose Maria Morelos, a Mexican independence hero and perhaps one of the first social justice fighters of the new nation of Mexico.

This festival is alcohol free and has no charge for admission.

This outdoor event offers a cultural event with 5+ food vendors, 4 Folk Ballets, 15+ live performances, multi media exhibition, a Children’s Park with live performances, children activities and prizes.

Mexican and Centro America Festival is Madison’s oldest and largest Latino Festival in the city of Madison
