Maddie Gardner to Appear at Australia Spirit Spectacular

Austin, TX, September 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Superstar All-Star cheerleader, and World Champion Maddie Gardner will head to Brisbane, Australia along with Cheer Channel executives and film crew to appear at the Australia Spirit Spectacular and Asia Pacific Grand Final. Event dates are September 19-25, 2012. Maddie will be doing pre-publicity in the US and will perform as well as instruct at the highly anticipated event hosted by World Cup Cheer and Dance. Cheer Channel will also be filming for a segment of Maddie’s new Cheer Channel web and television series, “Cheer Mashup”
WCC owner, Lyn Parker, is thrilled to be able to bring Maddie overseas and has made an exclusive 3-year pact with Maddie through her agency, Proformance Sports Marketing that includes appearances at this event, and also licensing and merchandising of Maddie Gardner properties throughout Australia. “I realized she was of course a terrific personality and a world champion, but I did not get a sense of just how popular she was with other cheerleaders until I announced that she was coming to our events,” said Parker. “Our cheerleaders started crying tears of joy!”

Cheer teams from Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and China will be attending the event, along with top US and Florida based All Star Team, Top Gun. The event is the largest cheer and dance competition in Australia with over 5,000 expected attendees and mass media coverage.

Gardner will be meeting with cheerleaders, coaches, gyms and gym owners, and will conduct interviews, demonstrations, sign autographs and make other national media appearances during the week for the WCC.

Cheer Mashup is a monthly series in which Maddie will provide an insider’s look into the world of cheerleading, covering the latest news, events, and trends in fashion, health and fitness, interviews with coaches, dancers, celebrities and Maddie's close friends Special segments that include the interactive, “What’s Hot” and “What’s Not” “Ask Maddie”, “Guys and Girls”, “First Cakes” and “Makeup-Shakeup”.
