Richmond, VA, September 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Richmond-based band, The Dismissed, announced today the launch of their studio debut. The debut track, dubbed "Antisocial," is currently available for free online.

The Dismissed is a mix of Richmond rock veterans, with members from well-known groups Satori and Halflit Halo. Their new single is a teaser for what is to come in their debut full length EP out later in early 2013.

"Antisocial" kicks off with an aggressive line from bassist Jason Biniasz, followed by four earth-shattering crashes, quickly exploding the track into a hard-rocking frenzy. The track highlights the band's aggressive style which blends melody and unique rhythms into an original sound.

Members Kevin Hagaman (vocals), Jason Biniasz (Bass), Ryan Webb (Guitar), and Chris Barr (drums) have overcome many obstacles to make it this far.

Kevin Hagaman, lead vocalist, is a heart transplant recipient who has dealt with health problems since a young age. Due to treatment procedures for an early bout with cancer, his heart suffered serious damage and required a transplant. Now, Hagaman sings and screams with more ferocity than ever before.

The group is also separated by distance. Guitarist Ryan Webb travels to practice in Richmond, two hours each way, from his residence in Northern Virginia. Hagaman makes the trek about an hour each way, from his place in Crewe, Va.

"Everything good requires dedication and effort. We've been around long enough to know that. We work with each other to make the band work," said drummer Chris Barr.

"It's rare that bands find the mix of talent needed to put on a great show. We make it work, even if it requires sacrifice," added Barr.

The launch of “Antisocial” will surely increase the bands footprint on the Richmond music scene, and help the group establish a dedicated fan base. The single, now streaming online for free, will be sold on iTunes and Amazon.com in the near future.
