Marvin: Discovers the Beach by Kathryn Kessler shares an adventure at the beach on a warm sunny day.

Overland Park, KS, September 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Marvin: Discovers the Beach by Kathyrn Kessler tells the story of a young puppy's discovery of the beach for the first time.

Discovering the beach for the first time can be fun and exciting. That is certainly the case for Marvin. Jane and Marvin are spending the day at the beach. Marvin is just a puppy and hasn't felt sand under his paws or the splash of cool salty water. He is very excited and can't wait to romp around. Marvin discovers the swoosh of the waves and the squawk of the seagulls. Marvin learns not to mess with clams and crabs. He learned very quickly he can get a squirt in the eye or a tug of a whisker. When it comes to investigating beautiful sandcastles, Marvin learns that some people don't want him around. Jane learns that taking a new puppy to the beach is a lot of work. Together they run, play, splash and discover lots of wonderful creatures at the beach.

Kessler shares a joyful and playful story through the eyes of a puppy. Children will see the different creatures that can be found living on the beach. Parents can engage young readers and open dialogue in regards to caring for puppies, ocean creatures and what people might do at the beach. Simple sentences will help beginners learn to read easily. Bright colorful illustrations bring to life a sunny day on the beach.
