Competitive Intelligence from the Deep Web: SCIP Iowa and South Florida eLearning Networking Chapter Meetings, September 20

Join your strategic and competitive intelligence peers at the Iowa and South Florida SCIP chapter eLearning meetings which focus on leveraging the Deep Web for competitive Intelligence. This unique blend of webinar and in-person event provides both a learning and networking environment.

Des Moines, IA, September 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Organizations today leave a digital exhaust that can be seen across the internet. While the trail is larger for publicly traded organizations, smaller or medium-sized businesses also leave a large smoke trail that can be followed to its source. Presenters Sean Campbell and Scott Swigart will show you how to spot an organization’s digital exhaust at a distance, how to mine it for insights, and how to relate the information you find with other relevant data sources such as interviews. They'll also discuss ways in which you can remain anonymous while conducting this type of research.

Sean and Scott will close with a discussion about where Fortune 500 organizations are headed both in their efforts to mine the digital exhaust of their competitors and to limit the visibility of their own smoke trail. All attendees will receive a copy of Sean and Scott's book on the subject of open source intelligence collection, now in its 3rd edition: “Going Beyond Google: Gathering Internet Intelligence.”
