Cordic Marks the Company’s 10 Year Anniversary

Cambridge, United Kingdom, September 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cambridge based, data despatch system provider Cordic mark the 10th anniversary of its existence, which began in a small office on the Cambridge Science Park in 2002.

Cordic revolutionised data despatch systems by introducing the world’s first GPRS based system. It made data despatch systems affordable to small companies as well as larger ones by eliminating the cost of a radio infrastructure and utilised off-the-shelf consumer PDAs.

Cordic moved from its original small home into purpose built offices with research and development facilities and over 10,000 sq ft of space in 2008 in order to support its rapid growth in the UK and other European countries including expansion in Germany, Switzerland and Luxemburg. Currently, over 25,000 drivers use the Cordic system on a daily basis and since 2002 over 400 million jobs have been booked on Cordic data despatch systems.

When Cordic started out in 2002, the company set some clear objectives:

- To provide products, services and solutions of the highest quality and deliver the maximum value to our customers to earn their respect and loyalty.
- To grow by continually providing useful and significant products, services and solutions to markets we already serve—and to expand into new areas that build on our technologies, competencies and customer interests.
- To achieve sufficient profit to finance our company growth, create value for our shareholders and provide the resources we need to achieve our objectives.

Those objectives have all been met and exceeded; with a customer retention rate of 100% Cordic has demonstrated that the product is fit for purpose and customers are happy with the service provided by the team. Cordic has since gone on to develop additional products within the portfolio including the first cab iPhone booking app, IVR (Interactive Voice Response) with voice recognition and self-service booking kiosks.

Commercial Director, Fara Arani comments

“Our customers want leading edge technology; they want to remain ahead of their competitors so they work closely with us to help suggest product enhancements and new features which benefit all parties involved.”

Arani continues

“We have seen consistent growth year on year as more fleets switch to using our data despatch system. Several new roles have been created within the last year in the software development and technical support teams. We anticipate further growth in the coming years as we enter new markets and new products are launched.”

To celebrate Cordic’s 10 year birthday, Cordic announced the release of their Android mobile software. Fleets will now be able to choose from an even wider range of handheld devices and can attract drivers who wish to use their own device.

Cordic’s data despatch system cPAQ continues to lead the industry with innovative and unique features and solutions, The Android mobile device software is just one release from a long line of products in the development pipeline.
