Post-Grad Jobs Are Within Reach for Montclair State University Students

Montclair, NJ, September 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Montclair State University’s Center for Career Services and Cooperative Education will present its annual Fall Career and Internship Fair on October 17, 2012 on campus in University Hall, 7th floor Conference Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is open to all students, alumni and members of the community. All are welcome to attend to meet a variety of hiring employers from the tri-state area.

The Center for Career Services and Cooperative Education is committed to providing MSU students with the opportunities to help them succeed in the workplace. The Center values long-time partnerships with successful companies that will be represented at the fair, like Target, Enterprise, Colgate-Palmolive, Kraft Foods, the FBI, Sony Music Entertainment, and many more; no major or industry goes unrepresented. Year after year these corporations send representatives to meet with the professional and eager candidates from Montclair State. Executive Director of the Center for Career Services and Internships, Carolyn Jones, said of the students, “Our employers often share with us that our students ‘make good employees.’ They are confident that our graduates have the skills and qualities they are looking for, and they will continue to recruit at MSU.” Director of Student Employment and Internships, Pauline Allen, adds, “Employers are never disappointed. MSU students are well prepared, confident and enthusiastic.”

The Center for Career Services at Montclair State recognizes the difficulties that befall recent college graduates, and job-seeking New Jersey residents in every stage of life. Landing a job worthy of one’s education is difficult in the midst of the current economic climate, and record-high unemployment rates. Mrs. Jones continued, “We have been able to offer Career Fairs that provide on and off campus employment opportunities for our students in spite of the ongoing economic crisis.” This event is one of many in a long-list of programming by the Center, designed to ease students’ concerns about finding employment after graduation. Students are given direct access to employers who have open positions and are willing to hire, providing hope in a dismal job market.
