Who is Millennium?

Who is Millennium? A literal interpretation of the question yields a simple answer: Stryker, K-King, Sapphire and Adonis.

Los Angeles, CA, September 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Who is Millennium? A literal interpretation of the question yields a simple answer: Stryker, K-King, Sapphire and Adonis. But as the saying goes, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This has never been truer than with this talented new pop group from Los Angeles that has emerged seemingly overnight from an obscure collection of solo careers. A recent video released by the group's label Mobcity Records takes you inside the bizarre world of pop group Millennium and it might just surprise you. Those who know Stryker, Millennium's composer, producer and singer, can attest to his desire to make his mark in music- five unappreciated albums in five years to be precise. Perhaps that's why he seems the most shocked at how quickly Millennium came together. "If someone had told me a year ago I'd be rocking out on stage with an Alien drummer, I'd have told him to put down the crack pipe," laughs Stryker. Looking at the group, they do seem like unlikely companions, to say the least. In addition to Stryker, who appears straight out of Babylon AD, there's the towering K-King, a 6' 2" muscled Los Angeles native and former gospel and R&B singer. Then there's Sapphire, a petit blue-haired Asian anime with a sweet voice, playful persona and a sharp roundhouse kick. Lastly, there's the alien drummer Adonis. Nobody's really sure where he's from and how he encountered Earth, but he plays a mean set of drums.

As surreal as this team may seem, they share an unusual level of determination to succeed and it comes through in their music. Millennium blends catchy hooks with hip-hop flavor and acoustic instrumentation. Their first single 'Beach Anthem' layers an infectious pop melody over a cool reggae groove and features Baby Bash. Other songs, such as "Roll," showcase the group's songwriting ability and mainstream appeal. Then there's the incendiary dance track "Get Ready" that shows Millennium's potential to rock stadiums filled with screaming youth. Millennium's unique fashion style also makes for dramatic public appearances. Yeah, seeing Vin Diesel's long-lost twin, a colossal African-American, an Anime and an Alien together at the dinner table can do that.

With their first single ready to hit the airwaves and an ambitious west coast tour in the works, Millennium seems poised to make an impact in the region. So the question remains, what is it about them that is causing a stir in the local Los Angeles scene and has got people asking the question: Who is Millennium? Go inside the world of this crazy and unpredictable new pop group and find out for yourself. Party on.
