Raleigh, NC, September 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Campbell Law School (http://law.campbell.edu) has announced that interim Dean Keith Faulkner has been named president-elect of The Susie Sharp Inn of Court. Faulkner will serve in this role for one year prior to being elevated to president.

A group of prominent Triangle judges and attorneys, The Susie Sharp Inn of Court meets six times each year for dinner and a one-hour, continuing legal education program. The purpose of the organization is to promote and enhance professionalism in all disciplines within the North Carolina State Bar by creating a diverse, collegial, and congenial association of skilled attorneys dedicated to sharing their philosophies, knowledge, and experiences, and willing to contribute to members’ continuing education through tutorials on timely subjects. The Susie Sharp Inn of Court is named after Chief Justice Susie Marshall Sharp, who served as the first female Associate and Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court. The organization was formed in 1993 under the leadership of Chief Justice Burley Mitchell.

Extremely active in the legal profession, Faulkner serves on many boards and bar related committees that include the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar Annual Questionnaire Committee, North Carolina Bar Association's Professionalism Committee, the Wake County Bar Association's Professionalism and Public Service Committees, and the North Carolina Prisoner Legal Services Board, where he serves as treasurer. Faulkner also serves on the Downtown Raleigh Alliance Board of Directors.

“I am excited and honored to serve The Susie Sharp Inn of Court in this role,” said Faulkner. “Many notable and respected members of the local legal community are engaged and active in this organization, and I look forward to working alongside them as we continue to honor and improve the profession.”
