Winston Salem, NC, September 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Nature’s Select Premium Turf Services, Inc, in collaboration with The Wharton Gladden Foundation and the Winston-Salem Dash, will once again open the gates to the BB&T Ballpark to host a free family movie night to benefit The Bethesda Center for the Homeless, Family Services, Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, and Second Harvest Food Bank. The goal, like last year, is to encourage family interaction while raising awareness of homelessness and hunger within our community. Several key community figures such as Mayor Allen Joines and Councilmen James Taylor and Derwin Montgomery will be present again joining the cause. Radio personality, Busta Brown will host the event.

This private screening of Puss in Boots, part of the ongoing community outreach initiative of Nature’s Select, and is possible through their sponsorship with the Dash. This event is open to all, but RSVPs are needed and requested by logging on to www.NaturesSelect.com. For entry, at least one canned good item per person is strongly requested. Gates open at 6:30 pm and the movie premieres at 7:30pm. Be sure to come early for music and special entertainment.

Family Services will collect used mobile phones to hand out to battered women for use in case of an emergency. The Wharton Gladden Foundation will be collecting monetary donations on behalf of the charities. Nature’s Select will sell exclusive Dash blankets with proceeds benefiting the participating charities.

Last year’s attendance was roughly 1,700 people from neighboring counties, raising several hundreds of dollars and collecting 1,700 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank. Ballpark gates were opened early to accommodate the growing crowd. This year’s movie night is already a success for the charities thanks to donators and supporters like Chick Fil-A, Mountcastle Insurance, NC Energy Forum, and Piedmont Natural Gas, amongst many others.
