Take Part in the 40 Days of Transformation of an Artist’s Career

Napoleon Hill wrote “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve,” Sam Cooke sang “A Change Is Gonna Come.” The combinations of those two phrases in mind lead Recording Artist Jean Shy and her Team to take on a 40 Day Challenge, and they hope you will take part in their Journey.

Los Angeles, CA, October 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Many major changes and Transformations happened after the period of 40 Days or 40 Years, the Bible teaches us that. KEM are strong Believers, and this is why this Team of Management and Artist has taken on a 40 Day Challenge, that they hope you will take part in.

This Campaign was started by Tina Walker who has been working side by side with her Partner in the capacity of Artist Management for their dear friend and multi-talented Singer, Songwriter Jean Shy for many years. Yes, Jean Shy has had "some" notable successes in her music career to which she has been dedicated for more than 40 years, but she has not nearly reached the level of success that she deserves, considering the great Talent that she has.

With many Single releases on Shy by various Labels her Management Team formed their own small Label "King Edward Music" to release her music on, when no Label could be found to sign her a legitimate Album deal. They have produced several Albums with Jean Shy over the years, and on a positive note, the last two CD releases that were put together from several of her previous recordings and a Live-Album, brought her some good recognition. With the Jean Shy & The Shy Guys CD "The Blues Got Soul," she was nominated for the 2009 Blues Music Awards for Soul-Blues Female Artist of the Year, and the 2010 Jean Shy & Friends release "Blow Top Blues" was nominated by the Independent Music Awards for "Blues Album of the Year." Even though they made some noise with both Albums, they unfortunately were not able to promote either of them properly due to the lack of finances, whereas the same goes for the production of a new Album which is long overdue. Actually it's been ten years since Jean Shy has recorded a Studio Album.

In June of 2011 while on Tour in Germany with her longtime Band "The Shy Guys" that Jean Shy has been performing with since nearly thirty years, she suffered a massive stroke. Her Doctors told her that she was extremely lucky because with the part of the brain that was hit by the stroke she would have normally been dead or paralyzed on half of her body; but she was neither. Jean Shy couldn't walk at all in the first four weeks or so, her right hand was paralyzed, and the worst was that she couldn't sing anymore. The latter was more traumatic to Shy than the stroke itself, and the physical handicaps she was going through. With God's Grace, much physical training at the Rehab Clinic and continuous exercise she is able to walk again, and can use her right hand. So far she's about 80% healed as she continues to work on her recovery. With much emotional distress but lots of determination she has been doing very intense vocal practice as well and Thanks to God has regained control of her vocal chords, and can sing again.

Without performing for almost a whole year after the stroke, the first Test to see whether Jean Shy would ever be able to stand on stage and perform again was a short promotional Tour back in Germany in April/May of this year. The Shy Guys said: "We don't know what to expect or how things will come out but we're behind you Jean, no matter how it turns out." The performances were great and Jean Shy & The Shy Guys were celebrated by audiences with standing ovations.

Thankful that she has overcome this big hurdle in most parts, and exited about her future, Jean Shy is more than ready to get into the Studio with her Shy Guys to record the new material that they've successfully performed in Germany earlier this year.

Having the new Album "Come into My Kitchen" will be the beginning of great new possibilities in Jean Shy's career, and is the first step of three that Jean and her Team have set out to achieve. Once the new CD is in hand the next step is to do a pressing and proper release to the Media in the form of mailing out copies of the CD to Radio, Press and TV. The final step and costliest of all is the actual promotion of the Album, and Tour support. All of those components are definitely needed to get the music known to a broad audience.

“We now are asking for help in the form of crowd funding because we have not been able to do this alone,” Tina Walker said. “We have decided to take on this 40 day Challenge, to take our Artist’s Career, to the next level, and any amount contributed is a blessing to help make it possible for Jean Shy to get that much deserved exposure in her career, finally.”

The Campaign is set for 40 Days and is live on indiegogo.com with the possibility of pre-ordering the new Album “Come into My Kitchen.” To take part in the 40 Day Transformation, and view all of the Perks available in exchange for your help please visit the Campaign website at http://www.indiegogo.com/jeanshy
