Newly Launched Bookstore Challenges eBook Success

Bookaxis launched in response to the resurgence of the physical book

Birmingham, United Kingdom, October 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- A thriving demand for printed academic books has led to the launch of a new specialist bookseller company.

Birmingham-based Bookaxis has been developed to service the needs of the academic and professional fields, specialising in printed books to aid training and corporate professional development (CPD), most of which are not available online.

Paul Savill, director of marketing at the newly launched business, said: “Despite a noticeable shift towards e- learning in recent years, the demand for printed textbooks for academic and professional development is extremely high. This continuing demand has warranted the creation of Bookaxis.”

Paul added: "We stock 350,000 titles, some of which are extremely hard to find in the current online retail environment. We also offer exclusivity within a number of sectors, selling books weeks ahead of our competitors to give academics and professionals the latest information, first.

"The range of books on offer could suit those training and studying right the way through to those sector experts," said Paul.

“In specialist sectors, there is an ongoing demand for printed books as the only viable source of information. In these fields, e-book counterparts are simply not available from publishers so meeting supply with demand is essential, hence the creation of a sole channel for this purpose,” he added.
