Local Solar Company Saves Central Coast Residents $2.5 Million

Solarponics reaches $2.5 million in savings for solar customers since 2004.

Atascadero, CA, October 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Solarponics, the longest continuously owned and operated solar company in California, has saved Central Coast residents $2.5 million on energy bills since 2004 when solar electric became a mainstream option, due to tax credits and solar rebates.

“Reaching $2.5 million in savings for Central Coast residents is an honor. San Luis Obispo has one of the highest solar installations per capita in the state of California. As the oldest solar installer on the Central Coast we would like to think that we’ve played a big part in that,” said Kristian Emrich, Vice President of Solarponics.

$2.5 million is the savings calculated for solar electricity services only and does not include solar hot water, solar pool heating, radiant heating and wind energy. This savings was calculated using Solarponics’ yearly installs, the average sunlight in our area and the number of days a system has been operating.

Solarponics is the Central Coast’s alternative energy pioneer, helping residents achieve energy independence for over 35 years. The longest continuously owned and operated solar company in California, Solarponics has been family owned and operated since 1975. Solarponics can install and service solar electric systems, solar hot water, wind energy systems, solar pool heating and radiant heating systems.
