Zip-Up Ceiling® Introduces Contractors + DIYers to Easy-to-Install PVC Paneling System for Unfinished Ceilings

Zip-Up Ceiling preserves access to plumbing and wiring overhead while delivering a finished look, avoiding common issues presented by traditional drop ceilings of how to get to plumbing and wiring behind the ceiling.

Norfolk, NE, October 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Zip-Up Ceiling® introduces contractors and DIYers to a quick, easy way to finish ceilings in a multitude of commercial and residential applications with open ceilings, while saving headroom and maintaining accessibility to overhead plumbing and wiring. Installation opportunities include food prep areas and central kitchens, food processing plants, hospitality, fitness centers, basements and storage rooms, shipping and receiving areas, and other spaces with unfinished ceilings. An economical and aesthetically pleasing alternative to a traditional drop ceiling, Zip-Up Ceiling is comprised of durable interlocking PVC panels and rails and meets Class A Fire Rating. Zip-Up Ceiling has many advantages over drywall ceilings, as well: it is impervious to water, can be cleaned with water, and is mold and mildew resistant.

The system, which provides a flat, grid-free, non-corrugated washable surface, assembles in six easy steps with just a few components and tools.

The E-shaped wall trim attaches to walls around the entire periphery. The main rail runs the length of the room or space and attaches to the joists. The panels, which are the visible surface of the system, zip into the rails (and unzip for access and cleaning). An average size basement can easily be completed in one day and the installation is much easier than conventional drop ceilings. The ceiling drops down only two inches, saving headroom. Pro installers and do-it-yourselfers alike have noted that installation of Zip-Up Ceiling can take just half the time as the closest competitive system.

Zip-Up Ceiling comes in two finishes and colors. These are smooth and serrated, and white and beige. The panels are paintable with latex paint. The main rails and panels come in 8', 12' and 16' lengths, the wall trim in 8' and 12' lengths, and seam trim in 12' lengths. The panels are one-foot wide.

The manufacturer warrants that the system is free from defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for 25 years from the date of purchase and that the components will continue to zip together for that time.
