Ozburn-Hessey Logistics Names Traylor Group as Supplier Partner of the Year: 3PL and Leading Recycling Company Decrease Landfill Waste and Increase Efficiencies

Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) recently presented the Traylor Group its Supplier Partner of the Year Award.

Brentwood, TN, July 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) recently presented the Traylor Group its Supplier Partner of the Year Award. The companies have been working together for approximately 18 months, improving efficiencies at several of the supply chain management company's North American distribution centers and have recycled thousands of tons of materials that would have otherwise been disposed of in landfills.

“We are pleased to present this award to the Traylor Group,” commented Scott McWilliams, CEO of OH Logistics. “In just two of our facilities, the Traylor Group is helping us recycle 100 tons of corrugated materials and five tons of stretch film per month. They are helping OH Logistics in our sustainability initiatives and we look forward to finding additional opportunities to recycle.”

"We currently have recycling systems set up with OH Logistics in McDonough, GA and La Vergne, TN,” stated Larry Blythe, Regional Developer for the Traylor Group. "In McDonough, we were able to reduce the number of employees going to the compactor by 70% through the design and use of our balers. Those employees can be utilized elsewhere in OH Logistics' operation, further increasing the value of the recycling efforts."

The two companies recently expanded their relationship. The Traylor Group now purchases all of its forklifts from OH Logistics' Material Handling Resource (MHR) division. “We really enjoy doing business with OH Logistics and MHR,” commented Blythe. “We look forward to discovering ways to further expand our relationship with them.”

McWilliams presented a plaque to Blythe, Ed Traylor, Vice President, and Jase Traylor, Regional Manager, at the OH Logistics headquarters on June 28, 2007. The plaque read: “In recognition of outstanding customer service, attention to detail and value provided to OH Logistics and our clients.”
