“American Dream–Latin Souls” Celebrates Latino Entrepreneur Success

New Televison/Video Talk Show Debuts During Hispanic Heritage Month

Santa Fe, NM, October 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Author and business coach Don Daniel Ortiz today announced the start of a new television/video program “American Dream – Latin Souls” which chronicles the story of successful Latino entrepreneurs. The program will air initially on local cable public access television stations and have a designated channel on YouTube.

According to Ortiz, “Latinos are achieving the ‘American Dream’ in greater numbers by choosing the entrepreneur path and going into business for themselves. Because we often live in ‘two worlds’ many Latinos face unique challenges in pursuit of their dream of owning a business. I started this program to share the inspiring stories of Latinos who are achieving the American Dream without losing their Latin soul.”

According to the U.S. Census Bureau Latino-owned businesses are the fastest growing segment among small businesses, growing by nearly 44% to nearly 2.3 million since 2002. The Bureau reports that as of 2010 there were 29,184 Latino-owned firms in the U.S. with receipts of $1 million or more. Hispanic women, in particular, are starting businesses at a rate 6 times the population at large.

“My goal for the program,” says Ortiz, “is to celebrate the achievements of successful Latino business owners and to inspire the next generation of Latinos who dream of going into business for themselves. Starting a business is not easy, there are many risks and setbacks, but knowing how others with a similar background have succeeded despite the challenges is inspiring.”

Ortiz, “America’s #1 Latino Success Coach”TM, is the executive producer and host of the show and has written several books on success. “American Dream – Latin Souls” can be seen on YouTube under the name Don Daniel Ortiz.
