US Volunteers Access Free Language Courses with Babbel.com

Now in its second year: Babbel.com continues to support Cross-Cultural Solutions’ volunteers in learning a foreign language.

Atlanta, GA, October 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Babbel.com, the online and mobile language learning system, provides the non-profit, volunteer abroad service organization Cross-Cultural Solutions with free language courses for the second year in a row.

CCS has sent over 30,000 people to Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America to participate in volunteer programs. Volunteering in another country is a life-changing experience that helps participants to learn about another culture by taking care of orphans, playing sports with at-risk youth, sharing stories with the elderly or practicing conversational English with adults seeking new career opportunities.

Babbel is giving these volunteers a free 3-month online language course in preparation for their commitment abroad. All volunteers will have an online language course worth $26.85 in their preparation package; giving each of them the opportunity to either start learning a language or brushing up on their language skills.

“Babbel’s teaching methods are state of the art – teaching a language in an effective, mobile, flexible and user-friendly way. So, not only will our volunteers be well prepared for their journey abroad, but learning the local language will also be fun. It will bring them a step closer to making this special connection with the community. We are really happy about being able to continue this partnership with Babbel,” says Alex Brandt, Program Site Specialist & Team Leader, China & India, Six-time Volunteer, Cross-Cultural Solutions.

"We are glad to be able to continue supporting Cross-Cultural Solutions’ volunteers in learning and enhancing a language which will help them to communicate better abroad," says Babbel’s CEO, Markus Witte. "We feel our product will particularly continue to be of great help since aid workers can now learn on their iPhone, Android phone or iPad with our mobile Apps, which have proven to be very popular among language learners."
