Peter Buffett Launches "Share and Win" Facebook Contest in Support of Single "How Would You Know?"

Share the power of knowledge and win a fantastic prize.

New York, NY, October 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Emmy Award-winning composer and New York Times best-selling author Peter Buffett released the provocative track “How Would You Know?” last month as an appeal to end repetition in political rhetoric. Sampling speeches from Presidents Reagan, Bush (H.W. and W.), Clinton, and Obama, the song and video strive to point out that the leaders of our country are not saying anything new regarding the ongoing issues we face as a nation, and continuous partisan bickering has become a grievous impediment to true social progress.

The accompanying video enhances this message by interspersing actual clips of presidential speeches with ominous imagery of senseless violence and vapid consumerism behind the song’s pointed lyrics, all highlighting the dangers of ignorance and apathy. The single’s cover artwork tackles the issue with a lighter tone: Democrats ride Republicans, and Republicans ride Democrats on a never-ending merry-go-round of political gridlock.

It is in this spirit that Peter is announcing the “How Would You Know? Share and Win Contest,” designed to inspire fans to join the battle against indifference and open as many eyes as possible to this dangerous cyclical pattern. To enter, visit Peter’s Facebook page before November 5th to watch the official video, share the video on Facebook, Twitter, or via e-mail. On the following day, November 6th, one lucky winner will be “elected” to win a $100 Visa gift card, redeemable wherever Visa is accepted.
