SVACA to Host Winter Adoptathon

Santa Clara, CA, October 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) is inviting the community to join them at their annual winter adoptathon, Walking in a Whisker Wonderland. Adopters can "Pay What They Want" in adoption fees for SVACA’s adoptable animals.

“This is one of our favorite events as it always leads to a host of animals finding new homes plus it kicks off the holiday season,” says Michael Limper, SVACA’s Shelter Manager. “This adoptathon is geared towards folks who are looking for a way to add a new companion animal to their family as well as for those who are looking to get into the holiday spirit.”

The Friends of SVACA will be holding a raffle during the event to raise funds for SVACA’s animals and will also be offering "Pet Photos with Santa" where for a requested donation of $10, people and their pets can have a photo taken with Santa. There will also be complimentary snacks and refreshments, and of course, plenty of adorable and adoptable dogs, cats, and rabbits.

SVACA’s adoptable animals can be viewed online at www.svaca.com. Please contact 408-764-0344 or visit www.svaca.com for more information.

SVACA is a joint powers authority that provides animal care and control services to the cities of Campbell, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara. Adoption services and volunteer opportunities are open to all in the Bay Area.
