Cupid’s Arrow: Magic or Maleficent Force? Tickle Me Published by Outskirts Press

Veteran novelist Monica Bouvier’s latest work is a tale of wanton love, decadent seduction and dangerous liaisons as a meek young woman gets caught up in love’s unscrupulous web of deception.

Anchorage, AK, October 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Author Monica Bouvier announced today the release of Tickle Me, published by Outskirts Press. In this intriguing romantic fantasy, Bouvier explores what being in love really means as she unleashes Aphrodite’s legacy on an innocent young Alice who must now decide home much these four little letters – L, O, V, E – define the essence of who she really is.

While growing up in an utterly dysfunctional home, Alice’s only escape became the study of Greek mythology and her passion for the Greek gods and goddesses became an obsession as she sought to escape the abusive realities of the cruel world she lived in. Finally the reclusive young woman accepted that the Fates had in store for her a life without love.

The Fates apparently had other ideas for her, however, and soon the mysterious Erik arrives as an on-line suitor whose passionate poems and erotic love stories slowly break through Alice’s wall of isolation. Finally throwing caution to the wind, she begins to share with him the most intimate e-mails and soon her innermost desires are awakened by Cupid’s magic bow.

Despite the fact she has never met Erik in person, she finds she has fallen in love with him and she sees the possibility that he might be her one true love, her soul mate. The question then becomes how far Alice will venture to capture that love, be it real or imaginary.

Bouvier’s tale cleverly explores how our essence often dictates our actions and that when love itself is involved, the core of our existence can be affected. Sometimes the result comes as a positive and productive light and sometimes, quite the opposite, it arrives only as the unimaginable taunts and torments we hurl on our “lovers” and on ourselves.
