HF LearnSafety LLC Provides Training Classes to Veterans to Become Connecticut Security Guard Card and Armed Security Guards

Full Tuition is reimbursed by the US Veterans Administration for qualifying active duty and military veterans in Connecticut taking these pre-employment classes with HF LearnSafety Firearms & Security Officer Training LLC.

New Milford, CT, June 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- HF LearnSafety LLC, based in New Milford, CT, is a certified school by the Department of Veterans Affairs to instruct veterans and active duty personnel as unarmed licensed "Guard Card" security officers and armed "Blue Card" security guards in Connecticut. The approval means that qualifying veterans and active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces will be able to take these training program and be reimbursed for the course by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Connecticut Armed Security Officer “Blue Card” Courses are held weekly in New Milford. Conducted by HF LearnSafety LLC, this course certifies men and women who wish to enter the security services field as an armed security guard in Connecticut.

These full one day courses are taught by Herbert Furhman, owner of HF LearnSafety LLC, a firearms training school. Mr. Furhman is a firearms instructor for the Connecticut Police Academy, the NRA civilian and law enforcement divisions, The State of Utah and the Connecticut State Police Armed Security Officer training course. Mr. Furhman is also a retired police officer with over 30 years in state and municipal law enforcement.

Through HF LearnSafety LLC, Furhman trains civilians, police, retired law enforcement, armed guards in numerous programs from state firearm safety pistol permits training to tactical, advanced, concealed carry and home defense.

The Guard Card class is the required class to become a licensed security officer in Connecticut.

The Blue Card Course includes a detailed review of Connecticut general statutes concerning employment and licensing in private detective and security services, use of force of persons and premises, criminal codes, U.S. federal firearms regulations, firearm safety, carrying and shooting techniques for uniformed and non-uniformed personnel and marksmanship skills. A written examination and live course of fire firearm qualification for security services personnel is part of the course requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, the participant may then apply to a security or private detective company for their Blue Card License and their state pistol permit to be amended as Class 1 by the Connecticut State Police for armed security services employment. Additional classes of certification include Handcuffing, OC Spray and Police Baton programs.

Classes are scheduled in advance and on demand and open to the general public who meet the permit standards for becoming armed security officers.
