)-- One of the leading competitive voice carriers in North and Latin America – Telintel Ltd. - has accomplished implementation of the Alaris inVoice solution on its global network. Deployment of the system was a major factor to contribute to the increase in the overall efficiency of the voice business operations and the margins of the company.
Telintel currently has over 1000 carrier partners and handles over 2.5 billion minutes of yearly voice traffic to over 2000 destinations in 240 countries, including the US domestic termination. High traffic volumes and a substantial amount of partners lead to an increased business management complexity and significant OPEX values. As an answer to the challenge, the inVoice system by Alaris Labs was implemented to automate a large part of everyday routine activities, control expenditures and optimize the margins. The system instance deployed is able to scale up to 3 billion minutes per month – that can meet the current and future capacity demands of the customer.
The crucial part of the Alaris inVoice deployment was the integration of the solution with the call switching equipment by Sansay, Inc. in use by the customer. The integration was done both on the level of CDR processing and real-time SIP API – that made it possible to fully control call routing on the Sansay VSXi SBC. The flexible routing management capabilities of Alaris inVoice made it possible to fully support the unique quality- and margin-aware routing policies developed by Telintel, which had an immediate positive impact on the business profits.
One of the key advantages of the Alaris inVoice solution as seen by Telintel is the ingenious rate management and traffic analysis system that combines flexibility and performance. Import or export of even large rate data volumes takes seconds and cuts down the need for manual work. A lot of daily tasks are executed automatically, so the company can concentrate the resources on the most important business opportunities to maximize the revenues.
“The system is developing at a fast pace; the routing options are what we need to remain competitive in the market, and we feel very comfortable with the support that we get", says Mario Acosta, President of Telintel.
“Working on the project with Telintel gave us the inestimable experience of cooperation with a large wholesale carrier working both in the international and US domestic voice markets. This partnership helped us drive our BSS solution to an absolutely new level of quality, reliability and performance,” says Andrey Anikin, sales director of Alaris Labs.
Telintel is one of the best-known players in the wholesale telecom market. The company started operation in 1997; today Telintel holds PTT licenses in Colombia and Guatemala and offers direct termination globally through its worldwide network of direct interconnections carrying over 230 million voice minutes a month.
