Combined Artists Studios to Produce Boxing Illustrated Championship Series on Television

Boxing Illustrated Magazine has set up a series of three championship boxing categories to feature top young boxers. Combined Artists will provide the TV coverage of these shows.

Las Vegas, NV, October 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Boxing Illustrated Magazine has joined Combined Artists Studios to present the Boxing Illustrated Championship Series on television. The monthly series begins April 5, 2013 in West Virginia.

Boxing Illustrated has established three levels of champions to promote young boxers. The BI Novice series is open to boxers with five or fewer pro fights. These fights are four rounds. The BI Intermediate series is open to fighters with less than ten pro fights. They are six rounders. The BI Select series is open to fighters with less than 15 pro fights and are eight rounds.

The first Boxing Illustrated Champion to be crowned is middleweight Maricela Cornejo, who defeated Mia Henderson for the title in Atlanta on August 4.

All divisions, male and female will be recognized in the series.

Combined Artists will produce the series in HD. Combined Artists has been producing boxing on television since 1990, including live fights for regional sports networks from Atlantic City, Houston, Charlotte, Anchorage, and Las Vegas.

Combined Artists also has produced the National Collegiate Boxing Championship from Colorado Springs.
