Decatur, AL, November 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Amidst the exciting new revitalization in downtown Decatur, the 3rd Annual River City Film Festival committee is preparing for 2013 film competition and educational film programs. Surveys of attendees to the first two festivals indicated an interest in film and production workshops and panels. Film screenings will also be spread over two days, culminating in a Red Carpet Awards Ceremony inside the Historic Princess Theatre.

“More attention, state and nationwide, has peaked an interest in the festival and we have volunteers willing to participate in more panels and workshops,” explained Lindy Ashwander, Executive Director, Princess Theatre, “Last year we had record entries and attendance. We are expecting an even larger turnout this April, so we are expanding the festival to two nights.” On Friday, April 26 at 7PM, the documentary film “Eugene Walter: Last of the Bohemians” by Alabama filmmaker Bob Clem will be screened.
