Competition Winner Brandon Duffy to Perform with the Minnesota Sinfonia

Minneapolis, MN, November 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Minnesota Sinfonia presents Seasonal Favorites featuring, the 2012 Junior Young Artist Competition winner, violinist Brandon Duffy. 14 year old Mr. Duffy will be performing Vivaldi’s Winter from the Four Seasons. Concerts will be held at First Covenant Church in St. Paul on November 30 and Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis on December 1.

The program will also include a variety of holiday favorites along side works by Johann Strauss, Leroy Anderson, JS Bach, great Broadway show tunes, and music from the movies.

Concerts will be held 7 p.m. Friday, November 30 at First Covenant Church at 1280 Arcade Street in St. Paul, and 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1 at Basilica of St. Mary at 88 N. 17th Street Minneapolis. Admission is free and children are always welcome to attend. Audience members should arrive early—all concerts are first-come, first-seated.

Brandon is fourteen years old and has studied violin with Yuko Heberlein since he was five. He is a member of the first violin section of the MYS Symphony Orchestra. Brandon is a two-time winner of the Minnesota Sinfonia Junior Division Young Artist Competition. He also has won a Givens prize from the MNSOTA competition and other awards and honors from the Schubert Club, MacPhail Center for Music, and St. Paul Conservatory of Music.
