Scalability Experts Expands Coverage in Southeast Asia with the Addition of John Knaggs
In order to better serve the worldwide SQL Server community, Scalability Experts has expanded their commitment to the Southeast Asia region by recently appointing John Knaggs of Australia, as the Director of Business Development.
Dallas, TX, July 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A US based consulting firm focused on Microsoft SQL Server, Scalability Experts has appointed John to focus in the Asia Pacific region building and driving the message around the power of SQL Server in the Enterprise space. John will be working closely with HP & Microsoft in the region to fully capitalize on the value that Scalability Experts brings to the enterprise. This includes service offerings around MS-SQL Server 2005 upgrades, performance tuning, consolidation and BI applications.
Prior to again working with HP in June, 2006 and running the Windows on Integrity marketing program for HP’s Asia Pacific Business Critical Servers operation on a 12 month assignment, John managed his own IT consultancy for 3 ½ years, where he acted as a technology advisor to the NSW Police, further supporting his advice and commissioning the infrastructure for an extensive SAP Upgrade Project featuring HP Integrity servers running MS-Windows and MS-SQL Server, gigabit networking, SAN’s, backup tape libraries and full redundancy.
Up until January, 2002, John worked for HP in Hong Kong for 2 ½ years as Planning and Operations Manager for HP’s Asia Pacific Enterprise Computing Business, and upon returning to Australia up until September 2002 was the Asia Pacific Product Marketing Manager for HP’s Itanium based Integrity Server Family.
John originally joined Hewlett-Packard in 1979 and in a career spanning 23 years held key positions in sales, Unix technical support and training, and product marketing – working extensively with customers. His interests include his family, travel, technology, education and music.
Mr. Knaggs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Diploma of Education majoring in mathematics and computing from Macquarie University.
