Irvine, CA, November 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Wright & McGurk Law announced today that they are accepting new Pradaxa blood thinner injury cases. The firm is reaching out to clients who have suffered Pradaxa blood thinner injuries and the families who have lost loved ones as a result of Pradaxa injury.

Pradaxa (dabigatran) is a popular blood thinner medication taken to prevent blood clots that lead to stroke and even death. Patients with atrial fibrillation, a type of cardiac arrhythmia, need blood thinners to reduce the risk of blood clots because irregular heartbeats can cause blood clots that can be fatal.

Recently, Pradaxa has come under fire for thousands of reported alleged side effects. According to the FDA, 3,781 patients have allegedly reported severe side effects, and 542 Pradaxa patients have allegedly died as a result of taking this medication. If a patient using a competitor’s drug such as Wafarin begins to bleed, doctors can administer a shot of Vitamin K to stop the bleed. The patient’s life can be saved with a vitamin shot to reverse the anticoagulation effects. However, a patient on Pradaxa does not have an option to stop the bleed. At best, manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim suggested emergency dialysis treatments, which has not been proved effective in scientific study or inquiry.
