Chic Santa Monica Boutique, Coquette Celebrates Grand Opening Event
November 29th - Aries Milan Debuts Her Latest Retail Experience
Los Angeles, CA, November 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fashion designer and stylist, Aries Milan unveils Coquette boutique in Santa Monica. Coquette will celebrate its grand opening with a lavish debut event, Thursday, November 29th from 6pm – 10pm.
“Coquette” is a French term for a “young, beautiful, flirty girl” and, as the name implies, the Boutique offers a whimsical collection of timeless, wearable pieces of art, spiked with a neon flash of rebellion and tempered by that most feminine of human qualities—a desire to look and feel pretty.
Growing up in rural Hawaii, Milan discovered her passion for fashion at an early age and her debut collection, Kate Kills Pretty, harkens back to that childhood in a “boho chic” marriage of edginess and femininity. The line was named after Kate Moss, whom Milan idolized as a teenager, not because of her captivating looks, but for her unique, individual style and her willingness to flaunt it. “Kate killed it” on the runway, and treated it as her personal playground.
The boutique features an assortment of high-end designer fashions – dresses, jeans and separates from Sass & Bide, A.L.C, and Michelle Mason, flirty rocker tee’s and casual couture from Chaser and Calvin Rucker, silk kaftans and beachy dresses from Australian designer Camilla Franks, and one of-a-kind jewelry creations from hot, up and coming artist Lauren Craft, to name just a few.
Three years ago, Milan decided to focus her lifelong obsession and encyclopedic knowledge of fashion into the creation of the kind of place she would want to shop and Coquette Houston was born. The beautiful River Oaks boutique rapidly became a trendsetting icon – voted “Best in Style” by Luxury Magazine – and is always at the top of the city’s “Must Shop” list.
“I am pleased to announce the debut of Coquette Santa Monica and thrilled to bring nearly 30 exquisite designers to the community.
