They're Back for a Third Year: Cat Care Society Announces 2013 Tails of the Painted Cats Artists, Sponsors and Design Concepts

"Tails of the Painted Cats" artwork cats are back for the third year, again raising funds for the shelter cats and community outreach programs at Cat Care Society (CCS) in Lakewood. Painted Cat creation occurs through April and in May the 2013 Tails of the Painted Cats debut at the Lakewood Arts Council Gallery prior to going on tour throughout the community until the Gala Dinner & Auction July 20th at Pinehurst Country Club.

Lakewood, CO, November 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cat Care Society (CCS) has released the artists selected by its jurors to create the 2013 'Tails of the Painted Cats' lineup of one-of-a-kind, larger-than-life artwork cats, their unique design concepts and sponsors. The announcement is made by CCS President Diane Stoner, who says, "Our artists have all received their cat forms and are now busy working on their painted cats in their private studios; they had the opportunity to meet their sponsors (and our Cat Care Society kitties) at the Champagne Reception Meet & Greet held last week at our Cat Care Society shelter in Lakewood. Painted Cat creation occurs through April and in May the Tails of the Painted Cats debut at the Lakewood Arts Council Gallery prior to going on tour throughout the community until the Gala Dinner & Auction July 20th at Pinehurst Country Club. This is the third year for Tails of the Painted Cats and we're thrilled to again welcome CBS4 Weather Anchor Ed Greene to emcee our feline fundraising event."

Jurors for the 2013 Tails of the Painted Cats are Linda Goto, Denver Hospice Mask Project, and Kathy Berls, Lakewood Arts Council. This is the third year both have juried Tails of the Painted Cats.

Drawing Kitty: Vincent Van Cat by Jane McFadden Dorsey

In addition to the Painted Cats being created and auctioned, local artist Jane McFadden Dorsey has again created the project's official 'drawing kitty.' This year it's Vincent Van Cat, sponsored by CCS Munchkin Cat Corporal Reggie Waddle Holben. For a $10.00 donation per ticket, names are entered in a drawing to take him home. The winner of Vincent Van Cat will be announced at the July 20th Gala.

Some of the Painted Cats are standing, and some are sitting, but they are all unique, original works of art.
