Su Vino, Homestead Top Wine Tour Voting

Grapevine Wine Tours guests pick quarterly wine and winery favorites.

Grapevine, TX, November 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In its latest quarterly voting, guests of the Grapevine Wine Tours have chosen Su Vino Winery as the city’s “Most Outstanding Winery.” Homestead Winery’s Homestead Red was voted “Most Outstanding Wine.”

Every guest of the Grapevine Wine Tours between July 1 and September 30, 2012, was asked to vote on their favorite wine and winery. Su Vino is a repeat winner in the quarterly winery competition. Homestead’s wines have won several quarterly awards from tour guests. This is the first time its Homestead Red has topped the voting.

"We’re always pleased to get positive feedback on our wines and our wine-tasting experience,” said David Scott, proprietor of Su Vino Winery. “We love having the Grapevine Wine Tours groups at Su Vino, since they’re always having a great time and they really enjoy sampling the wide variety of wines we offer here.”

"We’re very proud that our wines consistently rank among the most popular among Grapevine Wine Tours guests, and it’s good to see Homestead Red at the top of the list this quarter," said Gabe Parker, owner of Homestead Winery. "As the holidays approach, we look forward to introducing even more visitors from near and far to our winery and our wines."

Tours are available daily and rotate amongst all seven wineries in Grapevine: Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, Homestead, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino. Every four-hour excursion includes tastings at two wineries, a delicious meal with wine at a third stop, a tour of Historic Grapevine led by a professional guide, and transportation to and from local hotels on one of two 25-passenger tour buses.

“We’re grateful to have so many great wineries to visit, with Su Vino and Homestead always among our guests’ favorites,” said Sheila Clevenger, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours. “We’re heading into our busiest season, with lots of corporate groups and out-of-town visitors choosing our wine tours as a unique way to celebrate the holidays. After all, there’s no better place to get in the spirit than in the Christmas Capital of Texas.”

Lunch and dinner tours, offered seven days a week, are affordably priced at $74.50 and $89.50, respectively. Group rates and customized packages – designed for holiday parties, corporate outings, conference and convention groups, fundraisers, birthday and anniversary celebrations and other special occasions – are also available. Several area hotels now offer special packages including the wine tours. See http://www.grapevinewinetours.com/pages/packages.html for more information.
