Jennifer’s Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary - Fort Myers Women’s Boutique is Small Business Success Story

Fort Myers, FL, November 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- When Jennifer Williams opened her Fort Myers boutique, Jennifer’s, Ronald Reagan was President, the Rubik’s Cube and Cabbage Patch Dolls were the rage and Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean” was at the top of the music charts.

Williams began working in retail while she attended Fort Myers High School. In November of 1983, she opened Jennifer’s on McGregor Boulevard, in the same location it stands today. “I started small and selected quality merchandise,” says Williams. “I have always been a hands-on owner and hired employees who listen to and understand the needs of our customers.”

Jennifer’s unique and timeless sense of style has created a loyal following. Williams attributes her success to staying current and true to her fashion sense. “Some trends are all over the fashion magazines, but don’t work for our clients,” says Williams. “Our theme has always been subtle, simple and sophisticated. “

“Service is what sets Jennifer’s apart,” says customer Pam Arkin. “The staff at Jennifer’s makes sure that shoppers have a great experience. They know customers by name and call when something comes in that is right for them. The advantage over larger stores is the extra attention.”

Anita Rikas has been shopping at Jennifer’s since she moved to the area in 1986. “Now my daughters and granddaughters shop at Jennifer’s,” says Rikas. “We all love the style and the store feels like home.”

Jennifer's has always actively given back to the community. To celebrate the store’s 30th anniversary, Jennifer’s is having a daylong celebration trunk show and party at her boutique on Thursday, November 29, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a coffee break from 9 to 11 a.m., and refreshments throughout the day. Attendees will have the opportunity to register to win the Pearl Prize package featuring gift certificates for beauty, hair and spa services, and merchandise from Jennifer’s and a special pearl necklace from Lisa Freede, one of Jennifer’s favorite jewelry designers.

In addition, local charities will benefit from “Fashion Forward Fridays” at the women’s boutique on the first Friday of the month through June. Participating charities include Special Equestrians, Eden Autism Services, Abuse Counseling & Treatment, Island Coast AIDS Network, The Heights Foundation, Quality Life Center, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (ACS) and The Salvation Army.

Jennifer’s is located at 13451 McGregor Boulevard at Cypress Lake Drive (Cypress Square) and is open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and until 5 p.m. on Saturday. Call (239) 481-8582 or visit Jennifer’s online at www.jennifersfortmyers.com.
