NARPRO Auto Repair Shops Collect Supplies for Deployed U.S. Troops Overseas with Packages from Home

The Network of Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals (NARPRO) will give back to deployed U.S. service members this season. Nov. 16 – Dec. 7, participating NARPRO shops in Ariz. will serve as collection sites for the Phoenix-based non-profit group Packages From Home.

Phoenix, AZ, November 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Packages From Home, a non-profit organization that sends care and comfort packages to deployed U.S. military service members stationed in active duty locations around the world, is working in conjunction with NARPRO to assure troops have a little piece of home this holiday season. Established in 2004, Packages From Home sends 1,000 care packages to troops every month.

Packages From Home is looking for items like:

Boxer shorts (sizes medium, large, extra-large)
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
White tee shirts (sizes medium, large, extra-large)
Toilet paper
Shaving cream
Flavored drink mix singles (like Crystal Light or Kool-Aid)
Plastic squeezable jelly
Peanut butter in plastic containers (16-18 oz.)
Canned soup, chili, ravioli, Spaghetti-O’s, stew
Boxes of Saltine crackers (in sleeves)
Canned fruit (15-18 oz.)
Coffee packs or coffee singles (hotel-style or one-pot size)
