MPLS & Ethernet World Congress 2013 - Achieving MPLS End-to-End

Upperside Conferences, event organizer based in Paris has been organizing the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress since 1998. The 15th edition of MPLS & Ethernet World Congress will be held in Paris from 19th to 22nd March in 2013.

Paris, France, November 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Today’s communication networks and services are in a converged paradigm centered on IP (Internet Protocol). MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) has emerged as a key empowering technology for this transition. In the post-bubble economy, service providers and carriers in their constant mission to reduce operating costs, preserve existing services & introduce new services are relying more and more on MPLS.

MPLS has proven to be an extremely intricate technology, incorporating a wide range of functions and uses. Vendors, who develop MPLS technology, as well as organizations deploying MPLS, must consider the complexity of the technology, its continually evolving state, and its impact on network performance and scalability.

Beyond large carrier networks, MPLS is also being deployed by networks of organizations such as government agencies, military, health care organizations retailers, investment companies, and technology enterprises.

While the advantages of deploying MPLS are evident - a single converged network, traffic engineering enabled, delivery of services with Quality of Service (QoS) & reduced router processing requirement, MPLS is not a standalone technology but still evolving — and faces certain challenges.

MPLS deployments are highly complicated as they are overlaid on Layer 2 technologies such as Ethernet or ATM. The future challenges of MPLS are typically not in the MPLS network, where data is simply being label- switched, but at the network edge where MPLS must integrate with non-MPLS networks, and where services are initiated.

MPLS World and the Carrier Ethernet Workshop 2013 will allow us to benefit from the enlightenment of the precise stakes involved in the convergence of the MPLS & Ethernet protocols, particularly their respective roles in access networks.

Industry experts will discuss technological and implementation detailed issues, standardization process reviews, business models, solution descriptions and deployment reports.
