Mindgrub Takes Another Step in Mobile Games

Mindgrub officially launches their new Games website games.mindgrub.com.

Baltimore, MD, November 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Over the past quarter, Mindgrub has been making headlines regarding the recent launch of Mindgrub Games. Last week, Mindgrub released the official Mindgrub Games website and CEO Todd Marks is placing a focus on growing this division over this next year.

Mindgrub already has a large presence in the mobile application industry, and with around fifty percent of gaming being played on a mobile devices, Mindgrub is positioning itself to capitalize on this trend. “We have a competitive advantage in the mobile community and with the addition of our game designers and developers we will grab market share in this new space,” said Marks. Mindgrub hired several designers from Big Huge and Zynga and has already released several games that cover a wide range of genres including platformer, puzzle, educational, first-person shooter, social networking and augmented reality games.

Mindgrub Games’ most recent release Rescue Jump received over thirteen hundred downloads in the first two months it was available on iTunes and Google Play; and the mobile game Scuba Adventures, developed for Discovery Kids and Zap Toys, was recently featured on Corona Labs (coronalabs.com).

While Mindgrub continues to put their stamp on the mobile gaming industry, Todd Marks has been given the honor to speak at the Mobile Gaming USA East Conference in New York City in January. The conference has matched Mindgrub Games with other gaming companies such as SEGA, Zynga, Pocket Gems, and Snapdragon. The Mobile Gaming USA East Conference is held to showcase the shifting industry of mobile gaming and help developers and publishers identify opportunities for distribution, discovery, marketing, and monetization in mobile gaming.

Currently, Mindgrub has a handful of new games in the works as 2013 is shaping up to a busy year for the Games division. For their next release, Mindgrub has been working with Howard County and students in the community at the HCLibrary's HiTech STEM lab to design and develop a new instant classic, Escape! From Detention, with hopes to be in stores next month.
