)-- The SmartTOP aftermarket convertible top module offered by Mods4cars allows the opening and closing of the roof while driving at speeds of up to 60 km/h (37mph). Thanks to the one-touch function, a short key press on the console button is all that is required to operate the top. Additionally, one-touch roof top handling is possible from the original key fob.
Mods4cars has now added an additional function to their convertible top module: The window positions after roof top opening can be programmed. By configuring the module, the customers can decide whether they want to have the windows opened or closed after top operation.
“The new function makes it possible to program the module more precisely according to our customers’ desires,” says PR manager Sven Tornow. “Convertible drivers who want to enjoy the feeling of an open car can program the module so that the windows are down after opening the roof. Drivers who want to drive more comfortably can program the windows to be closed. The new function makes any additional use of the window buttons obsolete,” declares Sven Tornow.
Also existing customers can benefit from this added function. The SmartTOP modules come equipped with a standard USB connection, which allows installation of free firmware updates offered by Mods4cars on their home page. Every SmartTOP owner can benefit from future function extensions.
The SmartTOP module offers many more features: The windows can be opened and closed separately via remote key fob and by one-touch function just with a double click. If desired, a short chirp can sound after using the central locking. And having the module automatically lock and unlock the doors while driving is an option, too. As a coming-home-light the headlights can be activated via remote key fob. Starting the engine or turning the ignition off while the top is moving will not interrupt the operation. The complete removal of the entire kit is possible at any time.
From Alfa via Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo up to VW, Mods4cars offers SmartTOP modules for nearly every convertible car or roadster. Also for the previous types SLK R170, SL R129 and the follow up types SLK R172, SL R231 and the E-Class convertible.
