World Class Installations, Inc., Also Known as "The Electronic Locksmith", Launches "Green Initiative"

Three years ago Ken Croston Jr, President and CEO, was at a crossroads with the direction of the company. Since starting in this business back in 1999, WCI was primarily a company that specialized in the installation of new electronic locking systems for hospitality, universities, military facilities and other multi housing units all over the World. Most of the work came from sub contracting opportunities through contractors and major manufacturers in the Industry.

Apopka, FL, December 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- "As we finished up our jobs already scheduled for several months prior, there started to be more time in between them. I had a choice of losing technicians or finding something to fill in the gaps. So we started rebuilding old equipment that we had stored and reaching out to end users to offer our services to support existing systems. Soon, due to lack of installs and increasing demand for support, this became our primary business," says Ken.

What World Class Installations did next was to implement best practices that made them successful installers. They developed proprietary systems to acquire old systems, get them to their facility, repair, refurbish or recycle equipment, and put it back in to the marketplace. "We quickly realized that not only were we helping our customers and our business, we were also helping the environment by keeping tens of thousands of pounds of material out of the dumps," Ken stated. "What we can't repair or refurbish, we recycle. Regardless of how you feel about global warming or the politics involved, you would have a hard time finding anyone that thinks we need more stuff going in the trash. This is a win win win strategy." WCI is now working with property owners, large hotel franchises, manufacturers and installers to implement this strategy. "I guess you can say we are helping people go green and make green at the same time," he says with a smile. This is because all of their partners can make money by working in the program.

Ken makes no bones about it, he says they are far from perfect and are making efforts to keep more waste from being thrown out. One of the ways they are going to do that is by shredding boxes that cannot be re-used, and using it for packing material. "I found this was our biggest source of trash and I had a hard time finding a sensible way to recycle it. Investing in the industrial shredder seems to be the best solution I’ve found and I hope to have it operational by Q1 2013."

World Class Installations is a Licensed Low Voltage Contractor located in a small industrial park off Rock Springs Rd. “We wanted to have a location that people can come in and actually use these products. This way they can see the difference between low and high end,” explains Ken. WCI continues to stock a wide variety of electronic locks, biometric keypads, access control, security cameras and dvr’s.
