Innovation Direct™ Inventor Obtains Initial Patent Protection for Instaback Repair Kit Invention

Miami, FL, December 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Innovation Direct™, a leader in the invention assistance field since 1997, recently facilitated the process of the filing of a provisional application for a patent for Michigan resident and inventor Marco Johnson on his Instaback Repair Kit invention upon his request. Mr. Johnson initially submitted information about the Instaback Repair Kit to Innovation Direct™ in July 2012 on the company’s Confidential Product Outline. Innovation Direct™ screened the invention to insure that it did not fall into a restricted category, and one of the company’s New Project Directors discussed the product further with the inventor. Shortly thereafter, a Product Management Services Agreement proposal that is intended to provide the Instaback Repair Kit with the optimal level of exposure to potential licensees through a variety of promotional and descriptive materials, including press releases, a digital rendition, an online product profile, an interactive virtual reality presentation, and participation in multiple and diverse industry-leading trade shows each year, was presented to Mr. Johnson. Later in July 2012, Mr. Johnson opted to contract Innovation Direct™ to represent the Instaback Repair Kit to potential licensees for a 2 year period under the terms of the Product Management Services Agreement. The terms of the agreement also included Innovation Direct™ referring Mr. Johnson to an independent patent law firm for the filing of a provisional application for a patent on the Instaback Repair Kit. The application was officially filed on September 6, 2012 and is valid for the term of one year. Prior to its expiration, Mr. Johnson will have to decide whether or not to opt to have the independent patent law firm convert the application to a non-provisional version.
