Walk-On’s, Roux House Roll Out Red Carpet for Ragin’ Cajun Fans

New Orleans, LA, December 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Students and alumni heading east to cheer on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in the New Orleans Bowl will find a familiar friend welcoming them. Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, located just three blocks from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, is hosting the “tailgating headquarters” for ULL fans today and Friday.
Walk-On’s was voted “Best Sports Bar” and “Best New Restaurant” in Lafayette in both 2011 and 2012, and has been a wildly popular destination for ULL students, teachers and local residents since opening its doors just under two years ago. Walk-On’s in New Orleans recently earned its own bragging rights when it was voted “Best Sports Bar in North America” by ESPN.
“We love the good people of Lafayette, and we’re proud that they seem to love us back,” said Jack Warner, co-founder and owner of Walk-On’s and its parent company, Last In Concepts. “We wanted to do something special for ULL fans heading to the New Orleans Bowl, so we’re inviting everyone to come by today and tomorrow for some serious tailgating.”
Both Walk-On’s and its sister concept upstairs, The Roux House, will be open to all ULL fans today from 5:00 to 10:00 PM, and Friday from 2:00 PM till closing.
“There’s no better place for ULL fans to tailgate than Walk-On’s and The Roux House,” said Brandon Landry, Warner’s business partner. “We’ll roll out our signature Louisiana-style menu and have plenty of great drink specials to help get the Ragin’ Cajuns ready to kick some East Carolina tail!”
