)-- Vistek is pleased to play sponsor to Exposure 2013, the Calgary Banff Canmore Photography Festival that features exhibits, lectures, panel discussions, workshops, as well as the Vistek Emerging Photographer Showcase.
Set to take place February 1 through 28, Exposure is open to anyone willing to create a meaningful photography-based program, exhibit, or event. And a number of notable galleries – including Glenbow Museum, Art Gallery of Calgary, Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, The Banff Centre, The University of Calgary (Nickle Galleries) and the Museum of Contemporary Art – Calgary – are all taking part in this year’s event.
A fundraiser to raise awareness and money for the event, f100, will also take place January 11, 2013 at Calgary’s Lougheed House with tickets available for purchase online at eventrbrite.ca

Ten finalists, as selected by a panel of qualified judges, will have their work showcased on Exposure’s web site with online voting to determine this year’s Vistek Emerging Photographer. The winner will be awarded a $500 Vistek gift card and the runner up will receive one for $250. A People’s Choice winner will also be awarded a $250 Vistek gift card.

Exposure: Calgary Banff Canmore Photography Festival is a registered non-profit established in 2004 by the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies to encourage the broader Calgary-Banff- Canmore community to consciously examine, question, and appreciate the medium of photography. Each February, Exposure provides a festival focus to exhibit a diversity of photographic imagery by involving as many entities within the community as possible.
