Ozburn-Hessey Logistics Expands Its Operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area: 3PL Adds Distribution Space and New International Station

Brentwood, TN, July 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) announced the opening of two new operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; one distribution facility and a new international station. With the addition of the distribution facility, OH Logistics now operates four contract warehousing facilities in Dallas, bringing the 3PL's total distribution space in North Texas to almost one million square feet. The new international station is operated by OH Logistics' Barthco International division. The station will provide domestic and international air freight, ocean transportation, customs brokerage and trade consulting services in North Texas.

“OH Logistics has experienced significant growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth market,” said Randall Coleman, SVP for the 3PL. “We continue to pursue substantial opportunities in the area and have invested in the capital and people to support that growth. Having the new international station close to our distribution centers is very cost effective for our clients.”

The new 60,000 square foot distribution center offers all the latest technology and equipment. Outbound transportation from the facility is coordinated by OH Logistics. Juan Aguilar was recently hired by OH Logistics as general manager to oversee the new operation. Aguilar has over 17 years of experience operating multiple distribution centers in the US and Mexico and has designed and executed solutions for hundreds of clients within the consumer packaged goods, food and grocery, and chemical industries.

The international station, located minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport, offers a full range of international services to the growing North Texas market. “Our initial approach will focus on air freight for the DFW Metroplex as well as other North Texas shippers,” commented Tim Kolkmeyer, station manager. “Companies with major operations in textiles, high tech and retail are headquartered here and we look forward to developing partnerships with them and earning their business.” Kolkmeyer is a 24-year air freight and expedited-transportation veteran, with extensive experience in sales and management.

The new distribution center and international station are part of an overall OH Logistics expansion strategy. The company also recently leased new space in the Chicago and Kansas City markets.
