)-- Retail Realm (www.rrdisti.com) and Shift4 Corporation (www.shift4.com) jointly announce their new partnership to expand and maximize payment processing solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX. Under this agreement, Retail Realm will develop an integration between ‘AX for Retail’ and Shift4’s DOLLARS ON THE NET®, a powerful and comprehensive enterprise-wide payment processing solution that supports every major merchant type, including retail stores, hotels, restaurants, rental cars, ticketing, mail order/telephone order, e-Commerce and more. Planned for release later this month, Retail Realm’s software integration provides Microsoft partners with a real-time payment gateway between AX and all major processors, enabling retailers to capitalize on high-speed connectivity, centralized control, lower costs, Application Service Provider (ASP) delivery, and neutrality.
Planned development for the Retail Realm–Shift4 Interface includes the following functionality: TrueTokenation® (Post-authorization data security), 4Go® (preauthorization data security), connectivity to all major banks/credit card processors in North America and the Caribbean, reduced transaction fees, P2PE (Point-to-Point Encryption), secure data transmission over wireless devices, Chip and PIN (EMV) support, signature capture devices, mobile wallet support (e.g., Google Wallet, ISIS), clerk-facing mobile capability, a gift card program, offline capabilities, and third-party check verification.
“Our integration to Shift4 adds incredible value to the Microsoft AX solution,” said Rachel Smith, Sales Director for Retail Realm, North America. “What we are providing to our merchants is a one-stop-shop for credit card processing. Shift4's gateway solution enables our customers to choose the processor they want without having to reinvest in integration; they can also extend the very latest technology for interacting with the customer. And, they have the comfort of knowing their transactions and customer data are secure.”
Shift4 will unveil the new integration at Retail Realm’s ‘Microsoft Dynamics Retail Technology’ conference at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas on January 25-27, 2013 and will sponsor the ‘AX for Retail’ presentation track. The conference will put them in direct contact with Retail Realm’s resellers.
“With the strides Microsoft is taking in capturing larger customers in the retail POS market share, getting involved with AX as well as continuing to develop our RMS channels is a must,” said Bob Lowe, Shift4’s Vice President of Business Development. “Retail Realm has done a great job of extending their distribution channels into this space and we’re thrilled that they will now be offering Shift4’s speed, security, and complete neutrality to their customers.”
