)-- Roxem Assets gmbh has extended the letting to Volkswagen AG of 34,550 m2 of warehouse and 650 m2 of office space in the Braunschweig commercial park at Steinriedendamm, Germany until the end of 2014. Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH (VWI) represented Volkswagen AG.
Europe’s largest automobile manufacture is now the main tenant at the 450.000 m2 commercial development, located close to the main VW Works in Braunschweig. Other tenants include automotive and service logistics companies, a building trades firm and a sanitary equipment wholesaler.
Matthias Wunsch, managing partner of Roxem GmbH, said: “Thanks to VW’s outstanding sales figures, with their positive impact throughout the automotive region Braunschweig – Wolfsburg, commercial space has become scarce in this region. Far-seeing enterprises have recognised the predictable bottleneck ahead and secured space early. Even older rental spaces are in demand.”
