Helios Europe Strengthens German Link with Further Pre-Lets

Logistics property investor and developer Helios Europe, has let a further 21,030 sq m (226,283 sq ft) at its €250 million Link Logistics Parks in Germany.

London, United Kingdom, January 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The latest transactions take the total amount of space let in the last twelve months to over 62,000 sq m (667,362 sq ft). Link Logistics will provide 350,000 sq m (3,767,492 sq ft) of Grade A warehouse space in three locations across Germany.

At Air Link Park Berlin, Unitax Pharmalogistik GmbH has taken 15,792 sq m (169,922 sq ft) of purpose built distribution accommodation on a long term lease. The "built to suit" unit will be completed in the summer of 2013 providing the specialist pharmaceutical logistics company with a new headquarters.

At Direct Link Park in Leipzig, German 3PL Nagel Group has taken a further 5,238 sq m (56,361 sq ft) of warehouse space, an extension to its 25,300 sq m (272,336 sq ft) built to suit logistics centre, the construction of which completed in October 2012. The new extension, which will be used for deep freeze storage, is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2013.

Air Link Park Berlin and Direct Link Park Leipzig are two of three projects in the Link Logistics portfolio being developed in partnership with EPISO, the real estate fund co-advised by Tristan Capital Partners and AEW Europe. The third is Inter Link Park in Ingolstadt which has a developable area of 50,000 sq m (538,000 sq ft) and is located close to the Audi factory and A9 Motorway.

Located close to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport at Schönefeld, Air Link Park Berlin currently comprises 30,000 sq m (322,800 sq ft) of built warehouse space. The first 15,000 sq m (161,400 sq ft) was let to Dachser GmbH & Co in December 2011, with a further 15,000 sq m constructed and available to lease. Following the Unitax signing there is just 15,000 sq m (161,400 sq ft) left to be developed at the scheme.

Direct Link Park, Leipzig, located close to Leipzig International Airport, the DHL freight hub, the Porsche factory and the A9 and A14 motorways, will provide up to 250,000 sq m (2,690,000 sq ft) of warehouse and ancillary office space.
