A Better People Expresses Disappointment in Government of Israel Around Treatment of Peaceful Palestinian Protesters

Winthrop, MA, January 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- More than 250 Palestinian activist established the village of Bab Al Shams. As the group noted in a press release:

"For decades, Israel has established facts on the ground as the International community remained silent in response to these violations. The time has come now to change the rules of the game, for us to establish facts on the ground - our own land."

A Better People Founder and CEO John F Moore expressed frustration: "The Government of Israel has the opportunity to work towards a peaceful solution with the people of Palestine. We are disappointed that Israel would choose to deploy military forces in the middle of the night to remove protesters instead of using the opportunity to begin open conversation."

Mr. Moore went on to say: "We fully recognize that the ongoing hostility between Israel and Palestine is the result of actions by both peoples, both nations. We call upon both nations to choose a peaceful path, one that fully recognizes the rights of both peoples to live in peace as equals, free from hostilities from each other."

The IDF has not responded to request for comment on the actions against Bab Al Shams.
