Infor User Conference Highlights Strategies for Distributors

Inforum 2007 Addresses Industry Issues, Offers Expert Insight

Atlanta, GA, July 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Infor today announced it will highlight more than 150 educational sessions that provide insight designed to help distributors solve their business challenges at the company’s global annual user conference, Inforum 2007, being held September 9-12 at Las Vegas’ Sands Expo and Convention Center. Infor distribution customers including IBT, Inc., CH Briggs, Dixie Plywood Companies, and Waxie Sanitary Supply, as well as industry experts like Earnest & Associates, Infor’s 2007 North America Distribution Partner of the Year, among others, will present their best practices, case studies, and tips and techniques for optimizing operational performance using Infor distribution solutions.

The Inforum Distribution Program is designed to help distributors discover how to get the most from their solutions including Disaster Recovery, Product Roadmaps, and Maximizing Performance. The program will include a Q & A session where attendees will interact with Infor experts to get answers to their most challenging business issues. Solutions highlighted at the conference include Infor ERP A+, Infor ERP SX.enterprise, Infor ERP FACTS, Infor e-Storefront and Infor SCM Demand Planning for distributors. There will be a number of specific sessions for distributors in business areas such as electrical, industrial, plumbing/HVAC, building materials and janitorial and sanitation.

A highlight of this year’s conference will be a presentation and roundtable discussion led by Dr. Adam J. Fein, Founder and President of Pembroke Consulting who will share valuable insight gained from more than 20 years in the distribution industry on Monday, September 10, in “Facing the Forces of Change®: Lead the Way in the Supply Chain.” The session will share recent research on patterns emerging within the rapidly changing distribution industry while providing practical advice to guide future investments. The roundtable discussion will examine how Infor’s business-specific solutions help distributors address these changes, and explore what steps companies are taking to overcome the current challenges facing the distribution industry.

“With more than 150 sessions presided over by customers, consultants and Infor executives, Inforum 2007 offers proven strategies that will benefit distributors regardless of their size or industry,” said Andrew McGlasson, director of industry and product marketing for Infor. “The knowledge our distribution attendees will gain will be invaluable to improving their business practices – today, tomorrow and well into the future.”

Inforum 2007 offers networking opportunities such as ConnectAtInforum.com, a business matchmaking tool to help customers connect with like-minded peers prior to and during the conference, and Enterprising Square, a dedicated space organized into Infor solution communities to encourage idea sharing between Inforum activities.

Beginning in August, attendees can create a conference agenda using a new tool, U-Builder, on Inforum2007.com. U-Builder enables attendees to customize their schedule based on personal interests, allowing them to plan and organize all of their conference activities and manage conflicts.

Inforum 2007 is expected to attract customers and partners from around the world who come to learn about new business opportunities, collaborate on Infor's business-specific solutions, and get the latest story on the product roadmaps for their solutions. Infor Distribution sessions are part of hundreds of educational sessions on topics such as best practices, tips and techniques, product seminars, business strategy, and industry trends.
