Homeless Pets Score with #SuperDogPics

The #SuperDogPics Twitter party, followed by Super Dog Sundayâ„¢ photo contest and blog hop, assist animal rescues thanks to pet blogger teamwork.

Austin, TX, January 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The countdown is on for “the big game” in the pet blogging world, starting with a special Twitter party. The #SuperDogPics Twitter party, scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at 4pm-5:30pm Eastern time, will feature photo tips from a top dog magazine publisher, giveaways, and fun with fellow Fido lovers.

#SuperDogPics will feature the expert advice of professional pet photographer Brett Chisholm, publisher of Life+Dog magazine. Chisholm will provide tips on photographing your dog.

Throughout the party, prizes will be awarded from party sponsors and prize providers including Toby and Max, Things Your Dog Doesn’t Want You To Know, and K-10+ easy-to-use dog supplements. Additional prizes will be provided by Life+Dog, Gypsy Eyes Clothing, and Cartoon Your Pets, the artist who will be working on a live pet illustration throughout the party.

The #SuperDogPics Twitter party will be held under the hashtag #SuperDogPics on Twitter. Event Barkers hosts @dogtipper and @allthingsdog will be moderating the party.

The Twitter party is just a pregame celebration leading up to the big event: Super Dog Sunday™. Culminating on Sunday, Feb. 3, this special fundraiser benefits Petfinder Foundation, helping to fund the work of this non-profit in finding homes for homeless animals. Super Dog Sunday™ is composed of a photo contest and blog hop, all offering thousands of dollars in prizes for pet lovers with special prizes from Arenus, Luv and Emma, Nature’s Logic, and Toby and Max. The focus of the photo contest is sharing football-themed photos of dogs and other pets as well as football-themed photos of adoptable Petfinder pets in an effort to help garner some publicity for these animals seeking forever homes.

Both events are hosted by Event Barkers, a company focused on social media promotion of pet businesses. Founded by the publishers of two of the top dog sites on the web, DogTipper.com and AllThingsDogBlog.com, Event Barkers has recently hosted several major Twitter parties for pet lovers, the latest garnering over 20 million Twitter impressions.
