)-- UrbanScooters is quite pleased to announce the inclusion of the X-Treme XB-610 Electric Bike to their growing list of direct sales products. UrbanScooters.com is a web-based retailer of scooters, bikes, electric bikes, and other small vehicles and small vehicle accessories.
The X-Treme XB-610 is an electric bicycle which is similar to a previous model, the X-Treme XB-502. The XB-610 is meant to be an upgrade on the XB-502 in that it has an extra 100 watts of power, expanded battery system, and a redesigned body that is meant to be more streamlined and aerodynamic.
The XB-610 employs a 600 watt brushless motor, which is capable of propelling the XB-610 and its rider at 20 miles per hour, for a maximum distance of up to 30 miles per hour when powered by the standard, 48-Volt sealed lead acid battery system. The battery system charges fully within 6 to 8 hours. Riders may also use the pedals either instead of or to supplement the electric power operation of the bicycle.
The frame of the X-Treme XB-610 is steel, with dual rear shocks. The direct drive system is free of chains or belts, has forward and reverse drive capability, and variable speed twist throttle. Braking is provided by front and rear drum brakes. The aluminum wheels house 16” by 2.5” pneumatic tires. Overall weight of the electric bicycle comes to 216 pounds, and can carry riders of up to 250 pounds.
Frank Minero, the founder of UrbanScooters.com, had his own opinions about the release: “Electric bikes like this are a great way to meet the practical commuting needs of many of our customers, as moped-style features are offered on an electric bike, which makes the vehicle much simpler to operate in most areas.”
