Located at 18761-Q North Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD, the Maryland Table Tennis Center, MDTTC, is a premier full-time table tennis club in the United States for both recreational players and elite athletes with 10,000 square feet of space. The center is open seven days a week.
The MDTTC training center offers instruction through camps, classes, private lessons, and group practices. Since 1992, players from all over the world have chosen to train at MDTTC, including professional players from China, U.S. Junior & Cadet team members, and U.S. National Singles and Doubles Champions, and Junior and Senior Olympics medal winners.
They are famous for world-class coaches Cheng Yinghua, Jack Huang, Jeffrey Zeng Xun, and Larry Hodges. Cheng and Jack are former Chinese National Team members, head coaches for the Sichuan and Guangxi Chinese Province teams and former U.S. #1 players. Cheng is a U.S. Olympian and six-time U.S. Open or Nationals Men’s Singles Champion. Larry is a U.S. Table Tennis Hall of Famer for his coaching and writing. In addition, they regularly invite high-level practice partners and trainers from China to help players improve their level of play. The MDTTC's coaching staff has coached hundreds of players to national titles and Junior Olympics Gold Medals.
MDTTC promotes excellence and sportsmanship and provides a safe and friendly environment. They welcome players of all ages and levels.
As a “We are Butterfly” club, Butterfly table tennis and MDTTC will work together to promote table tennis, promote the club, and assist the club with table tennis equipment.
Butterfly is the world leader in table tennis / ping pong equipment and gear. Butterfly will be the official table sponsor for the 2014 & 2016 World Table Tennis Championships as well as the official ball sponsor for the 2013 & 2015 World Championships. Butterfly is also the official equipment sponsor of NCTTA’s 2012-2013 regular season as well as the 2013 College Table Tennis National Championships in Rockford, Illinois.
