The Sharp's Introduces Their New Sound with Latest Album "Step On Out"

The Sharp's Quartet takes Southern Gospel to new level with new look and new sound on their latest album, "Step On Out.

Fort Payne, AL, January 25, 2013 --( The Sharp’s are pleased to announce the release of their new album “Step On Out”. With the recent retirement of their founding member, Joel Sharp, The Sharps have a new line up, and a updated sound that is still rooted in the Southern Gospel style Joel was known for. “Step On Out” features a remix of the groups most popular standards, plus new songs not previously released.

“The efforts that Joel has put into his group has deepen the love of our music mintistry and our desire to continue to spread the gospel of Jesus. Moving forward we have taken the foundation of Southern Gospel Roots and added a fresh new twist.” - Ben Sharp – Grandson of Joel Sharp, Lead Baritone

With the 2012 single, “Have You Wondered,” written Ben Sharp, they have demonstrated just that. “Have You Wondered” uniquely blends today's sound into to this classic genre.

The addition of Ben Sharp and Logan Miller, has given the Sharp's a more modern look and sound that appeals to a broader audience, setting them apart from most Southern gospel quartets.

“Step On Out” is our most exciting recording we have done in 10 years. The energy the Lord has given us is simply amazing and you can hear that in these songs. If you liked The Sharp's music before, you will love it now. We still have the tradition family harmony, but it is in a new era. The addition of Ben and Logan, both 21, has added a new fresh look and sound that is a blessing to all.” – Andy Sharp – Joel Sharp's son, Lead Tenor
