Independent St. Louis Author Releases Second Book in Trilogy

St. Louis, MO, July 31, 2007 --(PR.com)-- St. Louis novelist Edward Philip White continues his epic historical fiction trilogy with the release of book two, The Quest for Prester John. The Song of Sherwood trilogy imagines the adventures of three generations descended from Sherwood Forest’s original heroes, Robin Hood and the Merry Men.

In the second book, while exiled from the Byzantine throne, Prince Constantine comes to England bearing a letter that tells of a powerful Christian King in the Far East. The young Prince embarks on a quest to find this King and seek his aid against the enemies of Western Christendom. Yet he does not journey alone. Direct descendants of Robin Hood and certain Merry Men join the quest for Prester John.

During their travels they encounter people and places that many in 13th century England might never have imagined. And through the dangers and challenges along the way, these young adventurers show that the spirit of Sherwood is alive and well.

With endearing characters and plenty of gripping fast-paced action, the author hopes The Quest for Prester John will touch readers spiritually while they are entertained. The book is published independently through a print-on-demand company and available through the author’s website, www.songofsherwood.com.
